She'll exit the series after these 13 episodes are over. It's been known for some time that Walsh was … [Read more...]

We've seen Android used for home theater purposes before, but it's been rare that a company has wanted Google's OS used almost exclusively with that purpose in mind. Panasonic is gambling that its UN-W700 can use Android (2.3, unfortunately) for an all-singing, all-dancing compact video device. The 7-inch, 800x480 standee plays media from its SDXC card slot or over DLNA, including recordings … [Read more...]

‘Expendables’ TV Series in the Works?

Back in the 1980s and early 1990s, Hollywood action cinema was known for its campy one-liners, over-the-top thrills and an overall sense of tongue-in-cheek fun. So, fans of such films – most notably those starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger – came out in droves for The Expendables, Stallone’s 2010 love-letter to old-school action, to the tune of a $ 274 million worldwide … [Read more...]

TiVo has released its financial results for Q1 2013, and right off the bat they show a wider than expected net loss of $ 20.8 million. This is despite a rise in revenue and subscribers (driven mostly by Virgin Media, which added 242,000), and the company expects another loss in the second quarter due to rising litigation costs in its ongoing cases against Motorola and Time Warner Cable. The Summer of Hemsworth

One thing I love about movies is how it brings families together. This summer’s sensation The Avengers is even striking a special bond between mothers and teen daughters. Mainly, they only need one Avenger: Thor. Chris Hemsworth doesn’t need CGI to be believable as a Norse god; his abs of steel are the real deal. If the hot factor isn’t enough, the 28-year-old is a brand-new … [Read more...]
