The Office Review: Just Say No

http://static.tvfanatic.com/images/gallery/andy-getting-angry_60x60.png

The main premise of "Angry Andy" was a smart if extremely late idea.  Get rid of the Andy Bernard we have been forced to watch in this season of The Office.  He has been lame and never very funny. Bringing back his anger management issue was a pleasant change of pace for a character that desperately needed something different.  Will this be a permanent fix for the character and/or … [Read more...]

Wanderlust Explores DVD and Blu-ray

Let's be honest. There are some who really love the comedic sensibilities of David Wain, and those who really loathe it. So it came as not much of a shock when Wanderlust hit theaters and didn't quite set the world on fire, grossing just over $ 20 million worldwide. But, despite that tragic numbe... DirecTV drops NFL Sunday Ticket price for current subscribers

After raising the price of its NFL Sunday Ticket package last season, this year DirecTV is dropping it back down for current subscribers, to just $ 199. Of course, most of the impetus for the price drop is probably because so many current subs are people who signed up for the service last season with Sunday Ticket as a freebie, but we're sure regular customers will gladly keep the cash in their … [Read more...]

Critics Consensus: The Lucky One Can’t Catch a Break

This week at the movies, we've got a picture-perfect romance (The Lucky One, starring Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling), relationship advice (Think Like a Man, starring Michael Ealy and Meagan Good), and a curious little monkey (Disneynature's Chimpanzee, narrated by Tim Allen). At this point, we know what we're getting from a film based on a Nicholas Sparks novel: syrupy romance and melodramatic … [Read more...]

Back in January, we got our first glimpse of BryteWerks' Model One projector, albeit in render form only. Well, today at DEMO, we finally saw the thing in person and uncovered a bit more info about its innards. It still pumps out 11,000 lumens and throws images on the wall in 1920 x 1200 resolution, but it turns out to have a range of Intel silicon at its disposal: everything from a humble 1.6GHz … [Read more...]

Charlize Theron To Become ‘Agent 13′ For ‘Planet of the Apes’ Director

This upcoming June looks to be a good time for Charlize Theron, seeing how the Oscar-winning blonde bombshell plays a part in two of the month’s (heck, the entire year’s) most anticipated releases: Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus. As it were, the actress looks to stay on course with science-fiction fare in the future, now that she’s attached to headline a sci-fi … [Read more...]

From today, you can take any of the studio's movies (such as Shrek or Kung-Fu Panda) and have them converted to standard quality video for $ 2 or a HD version for $ 5. There's no word on if DreamWorks proper would sign up, but given the complex nature of its ownership, we won't hold our breath.Continue … [Read more...]
